FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD, 1950 Weather Thursday: High 82, low 51.Congratulations to Dr. John A. Royall of Tryon on the celebration of his 90th birth day today at his home, Maywood. Among the out of town members of the family registered at Oak Hall for the event are Capt. and Mrs. W. F. Royall and son, John, Ames, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Robert *L. Royall, Boothbay Harbor, Maine; Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Inness Brown and daughter, Miss Con stance, New York City. Dr. Royall is a prominent author and author ity on soil conservation, and he and Mrs. Royall lead an active life at their country estate in the Hunting Country which they have greatly improved from time to time. A party in Dr. Royall’s honor was held Thursday night at. The Auberge and other enter tainment is planned for today. .Thanks to T. W. Brad ley of Green River Cove for some of his thermal belt green beans and 11 inch ear of corn- which he says grew without any commercial fertilizer, just the good soil of the cove, rain water and a little sweat . . . .
